Terms of Service

By creating an account or using QRLagoon ("the Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Service description
QRLagoon generates QR codes, hosts dynamic redirects (URLs of the form /r/<slug> that redirect to a destination you control), and shows you analytics about who scanned them.
2. Acceptable use
You may not use QRLagoon to:
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, or content that violates the law in the country of you or your audience.
- Impersonate third parties without authorization.
- Send spam (mass scanning campaigns to URLs you do not own or have not been authorized to point to).
- Attempt to disrupt the Service (load testing without prior agreement, automated scraping of redirects, etc.).
- Resell access to the Service without prior written agreement (Agency plan customers can manage QR codes for clients — that's allowed).
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for material breach. We will, where practical, notify you and provide a window to export your data.
3. Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at security@qrlagoon.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Subscriptions, billing, refunds
- Paid plans renew automatically each billing period via Paddle (our merchant of record) until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from /app/billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds within 14 days of a first payment are honored without questions. After that, refunds are at our discretion (typically yes for downtime caused by us, no for buyer's remorse).
- Prices are in USD unless otherwise noted. Local taxes may apply.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the URLs, payloads, logos, and project data you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host and serve that content for the purpose of operating the Service. We will never sell your content or use it to train AI models.
6. Service availability
We aim for ≥ 99.9% monthly uptime on paid plans, but the Service is provided as-is, without warranty. If we materially fail to meet that target on a paid plan, contact billing for prorated credit.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
